Gave this as a gift and my friend loved it. The photographs are wonderful as is the author's commentary.

I liked it so much, I have 2. One for a house in the north and one for a house in the south.

After a quick review of books that exploit the topic of local gardens as exhibits of what can be done with a lot of hard work and good planning, we discovered this one. As a southern gardner, anyone should gain insight and ideas of what makes a garden not only great, but great to look at.
